Orange County Fire Authority
With two decades of invaluable experience, Felicia Bryant is a dedicated member of the Orange County Fire Authority, currently serving as Assistant Chief Fire Marshal. She joined the OCFA in June 2025 after more than 20 years with the Oakland Fire Department. With the Oakland Fire Department she ascended in the ranks Firefighter, Driver Operator/Engineer, Public Information Officer, Lieutenant, and Assistant Fire Marshal.
A committed community leader, Felicia has served various community boards with membership to various professional organizations including the California Fire Chief Association and California Fire Prevention Officers. She previously chaired the Black Women in the Fire Service at the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Temple University and has completed the National Fire Protection Association’s First Responder Forum and Dr. Carl Holmes’ Executive Development Institute. As a dedicated educator she is an instructor in the EMT/Fire Science Program at Merritt College in Oakland, CA.
Recently, Felicia served a crucial role in IFSTA® as a committee member for Building Construction Related to Fire Service, 5th edition and was recently selected to serve on Fire Inspection Code Enforcement, 10th - Fire Inspector First Responder, 1st Edition validation committee. Currently, she is pursuing the National Fire Academy Fire Executive Officer (EFO) program and serves on the IFSTA Engagement Committee. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, exploring nature with long hikes and relaxing under sunrise or sunset to embrace the start of a new day or give thanks for the end of one.
Felicia was elected to the IFSTA Executive Board in July 2024.
