Scott Kerwood is a student of the fire service. He currently serves as the Fire Chief for Hutto Fire Rescue (www.huttofirerescue.org) in Hutto, Texas. He has also worked as an adjunct instructor for Capella University where he taught Masters and Doctoral classes in homeland security, fire, and emergency management operations, and currently serves as an adjunct instructor for the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University, a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Public Administration, and a doctorate in Public Policy from Walden University. Scott is also a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Office Program. He is a credentialed through the Center for Public Safety Excellence as a chief fire officer, chief emergency medical services officer, and fire marshal.
Mary Cameli began her career as a firefighter in 1983 with the Mesa Fire and Medical Department and was one of the first females hired by the organization. She held each rank in the organization including 11 years as Assistant Chief, prior to being selected as Fire Chief in November 2016. Mary received Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Elementary and Physical Education and holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management. She has been actively involved in the community for many years. Mary is a Past President of the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association (AFCA) and is currently the Metro Section representative for the Board. She is Past Chair of the Child Crisis Arizona Board and has served the past sixteen years with Mesa Sunrise Rotary holding the position of president in 2012.
Fire Department
Josh Stefancic, a full-time local government professional since 2001, has been the City Manager for the City of Safety Harbor since 2024. Prior to this, he served as the Fire Chief for the Safety Harbor since 2018. Josh is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program and has been part of the IFSTA® family since 2009. He has served on many IFSTA validation committees including: Fire Detection and Suppression Systems, Essentials of Fire Fighting, Pumping/Aerial Driver Operator, Company Officer, and Occupational Safety, Health & Wellness.
State Fire Organization
Jeffrey Morrissette serves as the State Fire Administrator for the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s Commission on Fire Prevention & Control having served in that capacity since 1992. The agency supports Connecticut’s fire service with training (Connecticut Fire Academy), certification, public fire and life safety education, statewide mutual aid coordination and fiscal/administrative services. Prior to appointment as Fire Administrator, he served as the Commission’s Director of Certification, beginning in 1984 and Acting State Director of Fire Training in 1991.
Jeff served as an active volunteer firefighter and Deputy Fire Marshal in his home community retiring in 2020 following 40 years of service.
Fire Department
Bradd Clark is Deputy Fire Chief for Palm Coast Fire Department in Florida. Bradd retired with 24 years in the Oklahoma Fire Service. Bradd served as Fire Chief for City of Owasso, Oklahoma, Fire Chief of the City of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Fire Marshal for City of Stillwater, Oklahoma. He also served as adjunct faculty for Oklahoma State University in the School of Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology (where he received his bachelor's degree) and in the Fire and Emergency Management Program (where he was the first graduate of the program). He began his fire service career in Poquoson, Virginia, in 1984.
Bradd completed the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy and was the first Chief Fire Officer Designee in the State of Oklahoma from the Commission on Chief Fire Officer Designation
