David Eller came to Fire Protection Publications in July 1999. He was known as a fountain of wisdom to the people he worked with. Whether someone had worked with him for 20-plus years, a single year, or had only heard of him in name, his reputation for serving others went before him.
David shepherded many technological advancements for IFSTA in his role as FPP Technology Manager. In 2016, David formed and created CEAT IT for the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology. CEAT was looking to give their IT department a fresh start and asked David to spearhead the process. He was the soul of recruitment when forming the current CEAT IT department. FPP’s eProducts department was also created through David’s supervision.
“In David's 24 plus years at FPP, he made a significant, positive and lasting impact on the growth and future of Fire Protection Publications,” said Craig Hannan, FPP director. “His skills and passion for the mission made us all better. David's faith and family were always at the forefront of everything he did. I will miss his counsel, leadership and example for us all.”
