Shows the rescue challenges presented by increased use of reinforced steel and ultra-high strength steel (UHSS) to protect passengers in vehicle crashes. Shows tools needed to penetrate advanced and reinforced steel, and how to use hydraulic power cutters to cut advanced and reinforced steel. Demonstrates “workaround” techniques to extricate patients trapped when advanced-steel-capable cutting tools aren’t available.
