STILLWATER, Oklahoma – In partnership with the International Fire Service Training Association, École Nationale des Pompiers du Québec has completed a French translation for Essentials of Fire Fighting, 7th Edition.

Essentials of Fire Fighting, 7th Edition, meets ALL of the NFPA 1001, 2019 JPRs. Essentials 7 is the complete source for firefighter recruit and refresher training.

IFSTA worked with the UL’s Fire Safety Research Institute to incorporate the latest research on fire behavior and fire attack. The information is applied to structure fires and to the effects of fire on buildings. Applying this new science to fire attack means understanding fuel, the stages of fire, the critical need to control the sources of oxygen, and the value of cooling a fire before making entry into a structure.

Hazardous Materials content in this Manual is enhanced and meets Awareness and Operations of NFPA 1072, 2017 JPRs.

To purchase a copy of the French edition, email ENPQ at registrariat@enpq.gouv.qc.ca or call 450.680.6800 ext. 0. For more information about IFSTA, call 800.654.4055 or email support@ifsta.org.
