Fire Protection Publications (FPP) is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders. FPP is an Engineering Extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University.

We are looking for the right individual to serve as a Digital Curriculum Developer (Tech Specialist – Curriculum). This position will be responsible for developing, proofing or editing limited curriculum components for the FPP Curriculum Team. This will include developing PowerPoints to support instructors teaching from FPP/IFSTA manuals based on style guide criteria. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that developed material meets high quality, accuracy, and accessibility standards.


This position is based on the Oklahoma State University campus in Stillwater, OK. It is an office-based position; remote and hybrid work are not currently an option for this role.

Areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop digital presentations to support instructors teaching from FPP/IFSTA manuals.
  • Edit and proof digital presentations created by other developers according to department style guides and checklists.
  • Complete task by deadlines.
  • Participate in meetings conferences and workshops or other events associated with FPP.
  • Provide timely communication of task status and need with team.
  • Grow and maintain professional competence by actively participating in professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School/GED and four years of prior successful work experience. Demonstrated understanding and application of FPP's organizational values: Service, Safety, Quality, Integrity, Excellence, Professionalism, Accuracy, Collaboration, Credibility, Innovativeness, Accountability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Office suite including PowerPoint. Ability to take direction and work with teams.


Compensation:

Compensation for this position will be based on the work experience, skills and abilities the selected candidate brings to the position. The current hiring range for Oklahoma State University is $17.00 – 20.75 per hour.
