Project Manager (Web Team Manager)

Fire Protection Publications is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders. FPP is an Engineering Extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University.

We are looking for the right individual to service as the FPP Digital Project Manager, you will be responsible for the online presence of Fire Protection Publications (FPP) and the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA), and support its mission of producing high-quality educational content for firefighters and first responders. 

This position serves in a leadership role, supervising a team of Computer Specialists; for this reason, the position will need to be office based in Stillwater, OK. Ares of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Management: Manage web projects, maintain schedules and budgets. Identify user and system requirements for projects. Coordinate, develop and implement project plans to deliver web services. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure web solutions meet customers'; needs in the most technically efficient manner. Team Management: Lead a web team to refine websites and develop new applications. Supervise direct reports, assign and review work, evaluate their performance and identify opportunities for staff development. Also provide direction, leadership and coordination for web development project team across departments. Analytics: Oversee digital analytics for the IFSTA website, IFSTA apps, search engine optimization, and e-blasts to make recommendations in the area of keyword purchases, app usage statistics, and e-blast effectiveness. Develop analytics reports and uncover valuable insights to support business decision making. Social Media: Manage social media platforms, understand their participants and strategically deploy them in different scenarios to achieve best ROI. Deliver, monitor, and evaluate the social media master plan developed by the Marketing department in terms of product promotion, brand promotion, and customer lead generation. Social media would include: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, app store feedback, and blog sphere comments. Online Brand Monitoring: Monitor customer comments, messages, and mentions of the IFSTA brand and products on various online channels. Protect organization's reputation and build trust, relationships with the general public and the consumer base and targeted audience.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years of experience using and managing web teams, Analytics data, social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and/or web content in a commercial setting. Strong understanding of data and its relationship to web performance. Must be highly organized, competent in setting and maintaining schedules, excellent writing skills, excellent communication skills. Have project management experience. Knowledge of website design and development technologies, techniques, and
best practices. Ability to lead and manage a team. Proficient in project management processes and practices. Ability to manage outside vendors and subcontractors. Demonstrated understanding and application of FPP's organizational values: Service, Safety, Quality, Integrity, Excellence, Professionalism,

Compensation: Compensation for this position will be based on work experience, skills and abilities the selected candidate brings to the position. The current hiring range for Oklahoma State University is $54,000 to $86,868 annually.
