Fiscal Operations Coordinator

Fire Protection Publications (FPP) is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders. FPP is an Engineering Extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University.

We are looking for the right individual to serve as the Fiscal Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for budgeting and daily operations of the accounting process. In this role you will maintains cost accounting system for resale items. This individual will work closely with program managers to provide direction and guidance with proper budget processes and accounting functions.

This position will be based in Stillwater, OK. Areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare the annual budget for Fire Protection Publications (FPP)
  • Will oversee financial recording keeping and maintain the account software used and the Electronic Records (ERP) system
  • Serve as the main contact for the Bursar, CEAT Financial and OSU Accounting Departments for internal University procedures.
  • Maintain Fiscal records according to established bookkeeping and accounting procedures and systems.
  • Establish and maintain an internal audit system for FPP
  • Interact with the Leadership team to establish business and financial related policies and procedures. Provide information needed to establish and implement short and long term goals.
  • Assist in the tax return process for each state of business operations for sales tax.

Qualifications: High School diploma/GED and six years of professional experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. Three years’ experience in supervision, customer relations/service, accounting or business operation processes. Excellent oral and written communications skill. Ability to work independently and in teams. Demonstrated understanding and application of FPP's organizational values: Service, Safety, Quality, Integrity, Excellence, Professionalism, Accuracy, Collaboration, Credibility, Innovativeness, Accountability.

Compensation:: Compensation for this position will be based on work experience, skills and abilities the selected candidate brings to the position. The current hiring range for Oklahoma State University is $46,800 to $58,308 annually.
